The most important part of the Quest, Inc. logo is the little green figure that makes the tail end of Quest’s “Q”. Petey Quest is Quest, Inc.’s mascot. What is he doing there, you ask? Petey is seen reaching for the big gold star above his head. He symbolizes what we encourage and empower the individuals we serve to do on a daily basis; to try their very best to achieve their goals and to see their true abilities. At Quest, we know that when someone reaches a major milestone, it’s a big deal. We like to think that Petey is a great representation of these successes.
In the early 2000s, Quest’s Marketing Department noticed the Quest logo was out of date and aimed to create a new logo that would not only represent Quest, Inc. as a whole, but also be adaptable to the different internal departments and various services that Quest offers. After a few ideas and a couple of sketches later, the new Quest, Inc. logo was created.
The Marketing Department had a contest to name the new figure inside of the Quest “Q”. Quest locations in Orlando and Tampa submitted their name suggestions. After a week, the real decision making process began. The list was narrowed down to the top three favorites. The winning name was Petey Quest, the brainchild of Senior Vice President of Information Technology, John Dogaer!
Today, Petey Quest is an important part of Quest, Inc. and he will continue to symbolize our mission to inspire and empower the individuals we serve to live, learn, work and play.
