On February 27, 2019 we held our fifth annual Join the Quest fundraising breakfast at First Baptist Church of Orlando. Friends of Quest, Inc. were invited to bring their colleagues, neighbors and professional associates to enjoy a delicious meal with us and learn about our mission to build communities where people with disabilities achieve their goals.
This year’s event highlighted the progress and growth of an individual who participates in one of our vocational programs at Quest Training Center –Orlando (QTC-O). This individual is thriving and working on the new Blossom™ soap project. A close friend and part of her church family shared personal stories about her and the positive changes she has seen since the individual started working at QTC-O.
Quest Board of Directors Secretary, City of Apopka Commissioner, Mr. Kyle Becker celebrated the contributions that Quest training programs have made to the citizens of Apopka and its residents living with developmental disabilities. He encouraged others throughout our community to, Join the Quest, by contributing their time, talent and treasure in support of the 1,000 individuals we serve each day.
“Every one of us wants to live purposeful lives, with respect and to feel that we are all worthy and accepted. This annual fundraising breakfast allows us to bring focus to the unique needs of these individuals within our community and share stories about the daily triumphs of those we serve. We are extremely grateful to the over 300 attendees and their generous financial contributions that will allow us to continue our mission,” said John Gill.
No two people Quest serves are alike, but what they do have in common is the fact that with a little help, with a few choices and opportunities, living a better life is possible. Through the generous support received at Join the Quest we are able to continue to be the premier provider of programs and services in Central Florida.
